Solar energy compensate the absence of non-renewable energy source

Saudi Arabia announced plans to create solar plants the ability of 41 gigawatts - equivalent to the power of 41 nuclear power plants - over the next two decades

Detecting an international expert in the field of solar energy to the Middle East to harness solar energy will be fully sufficient to ensure global energy security , and contribute to stimulate sustainable economic development and job creation , as well as support efforts to protect the planet .Said Dr. Raed Bakirat , vice president of business development network « First Solar » Systems solar PV Saudi Arabia «Middle East » : «The investment in renewable energy contributes to the reduction of the consumption of resources of oil, natural gas , power generation and free up resources for export » .In the meantime , predicted the King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy to increase growth in demand for fossil fuels in Saudi Arabia of 3.4 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2010 to 8.3 million barrels in 2028 .In this context, he said Bakirat : « simple arithmetic shows that the potential cost , ie the cost of consumption of hydrocarbon resources domestically at subsidized prices rather than exported in the form of raw materials or processing materials very formidable »

.He expected to see the future use of solar energy to run desalination plants which consume large amounts of power in the Middle East , in addition to large infrastructure projects , including stadiums being built , with the preparations of some countries in the region to host major sporting events , and many others. He pointed out that a lot of countries in the Gulf region

, including Saudi Arabia , do not need a lot of renewable energy sources , noting that the enormous hydrocarbon resources are more than sufficient to cover the requirements of domestic energy in the near future .He stressed that the solar energy as a part of portfolio of global power generation , is an add- competitive in terms of cost of fuel conventional ,

with the reserves against fluctuations in fuel prices , pointing out that every hour provides sun planet card more than what is needed by humans to meet the needs of the total energy for the whole year .Bakirat added
« The first has to meet the challenges , such as high costs and low returns , through the development of innovative solutions , solar energy has not been so much of the economic and reliability as it is today » .He added : « The discovery of the photoelectric effect by the French physicist Alexandre Edmond Becquerel before the century and a half has led to the realization of the possibility of generating electricity by exposing some of the material - such as cadmium telluride or silicon - to sunlight .

This in turn has contributed to the emergence of a global industry dedicated to enhancing the efficiency of the cost of solar energy , thereby facilitating access to it » .According Bakirat , the global concerns today , such as energy security , economic development , and to stop the impact of environmental degradation , differ significantly from the requirements of the former primitive , but in spite of changing priorities , people can still search for solutions through the sun.It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia has announced plans to create solar plants the ability of 41 gigawatts ,
equivalent to the power of 41 nuclear power plants - over the next two decades .This ambitious and stems from purely practical motive , with the growth of the economy and the demographics in Saudi Arabia ,

will increase demand for electricity , respectively , and the government estimates that the size of the demand for electricity will exceed 120 gigawatts in 2032.Projects provide significant contributions to solar energy and increasing efforts to generate electricity in all parts of the world , where leaders are seeking in the Middle East to take advantage of the sun's rays to generate sustainable local energy . According Bakirat , involves the trend towards renewable energy sources such as solar energy in the Middle East a lot of ironic ,

since the region accounts for most of the world's oil exports , and is home to more than half the reserves of recoverable oil in the world. But from an environmental perspective , solar energy contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions in the region , while contributing to global economic growth and reduce emissions to improve the quality of life
